This site was provided to you by John Allem Jr, in response to the new
release trigger design, the ROLLER RELEASE, is the latest innovation
from Allems gun craft. This new design release trigger will set a new
standard for competition clay target shotguns everywhere. We hope to
provide you the shooter with more information and photos, and a chat
section, soon to come, to be able to communicate with the shooter
directly and shooters all over the world will be able to communicate
with each other. Please be patient as we are working on this site
daily, and hope to have it up and running soon.
The Allem Roller Release is a trigger mechanism that employs a free spinning roller in place of the usual contact point. This allows the trigger to function much more smoothly, and all but eliminate wear, as well as, offer additional and very valuable benifits.
The contact point is the surface area where the trigger and the release hook slide or rub against each other, causing friction, and excessive wear between the two parts. The ARR. trigger has a much smoother set and release, by allowing the free spinning roller to roll the release hook into position. This controls the hammer with virtually frictionless operation. With the advatage of not 1 but 360 degrees of hardened, replaceable roller, excessive wear is eliminated.
The ARR. trigger is the first shotgun release trigger to allow the shooter the flexability of tuning the release to there individual needs, with precision and safty. All of this can be done without the aid of a gunsmith or the use of any special tools. The shooter can change the way the release feels from slower with creep, to faster and crisp. This is done by changing various diameter rollers using a standard screwdriver.
On a few select ARR. models the roller can be removed to disable the release. This now allows the pull to funtion, with a good safe feel. This can be done repeatidly with no negative efffects on the performance of the release trigger or the gun.
All release triggers will be sold with 1 roller per release installed. This roller and the resulting feel of the trigger will be set as close as possible to the customers needs. Extra rollers are available for an additional cost.
